Dear Bayside Bride,
I’m at a loss with what I should do with my hair on my wedding day. I want something pretty and romantic that will last through the ceremony and reception. Can you make any recommendations?

One of the most gorgeous and elegant styles that we create for brides is a low chignon. We prefer to add a soft curl or wave to keep the style romantic. The softer the curl, the less ”prom queen” looking the hairstyle is. The best feature about a soft, swept up-style is that by having it pinned into place, a bride can dance the night away while avoiding the stiff hairstyle look. While many brides associate an up-do with tight and uncomfortable, achieving a soft up-do while remaining comfortable for the long hours of a wedding day can easily be achieved by a talented and experienced artist.

This is exactly what I need help with, because I have NO idea how I want to do with my hair on my wedding day, but I love this style!
I love the styles that Up Do’s for I do’s creates for our brides. Very classy.
Can you also give any suggestions for those of us with short (think Michelle Williams-like) hair?
I have less than wavy hair, and when i try to curl it like that, the curls fall out by the end of the day. To keep them curled, I have to use an EXTENSIVE amount of hair spray! Does anyone know a solution!
For brides with hair that doesn’t hold a curl, we like to add in temporary extensions. The extensions can blend in beautifully and will help hold a curl or wave.
For brides with shorter hair, we love to add a little texture, give a dramatic side part and pull either side up with a flower or pretty hairpin. It’s a great way to dress up short hair.
