We are extremely excited to feature the beautiful work of Adrienne Page Photography today with this stunning Annapolis wedding! Jackie & Neil met in Charleston after moving from New York and law school in Columbia, SC respectively. After dating 1 1/2 years, got engaged on the grounds of University of Virginia – the groom’s alma mater and begun planning an at-home wedding at the bride’s childhood house and yard in historic Annapolis, Maryland. Immediately after the engagement, the bride called her old boss, Reem Acra, with the good news and to request a few sample gowns to try. Reem sent just one with a note saying “this will be perfect for you.” And it was. Other thoughtful wedding details included having a jazz band serenade guests across the street from the church to the house, outdoor bars finished in old family linens and swags of boxwood, bridesmaids in ivory tops and full satin skirts with custom marigold silk dupioni sashes, and a sparkler send-off right on historic Duke of Gloucester Street.
With a decidedly “garden party” feel, the reception details were true to the bride’s family’s entertaining elements over the years – they used their own linens, silver and serving pieces. They also utilized indoor spaces for added elegance with the first floor remaining open for guests.
