Walter & Yelena’s wedding is the perfect combination of traditional elegance & unique modern detail! We are so inspired with their style and couldn’t sum it up much better than Melanie, coordinator for the Tidewater Inn, did in her submission:
“The couple’s two dogs, Blake and Luke, were the ringbearers in the wedding held over the Labor Day Weekend. They were a very fun couple and had a lot of fun, quirky, ideas that they incorporated into their wedding–the whole bridal party wore Chuck Taylors and the Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head cakes even had the same shoes.”
Bride’s Favorite Moments:
“My favorite moment of the day was having my boys at the reception with us. It was such an important thing to me. I felt so lucky to find a venue that would allow them to be there and to be free and to be treated so well. Everyone treated the boys as if they were their own dogs. I loved the moment when they came to the reception and started dancing with us. I picked up my little dog and swung him around the dace floor. They are the greatest dogs and it was so critical for them to be a part of our day.
I also enjoyed the moment when our cake arrived. I had worked with our cake guy Chris (who is just amazing and has his own incredible story to tell) but he did our wedding cake. Walter and I are kids at heart still and love the movie toy story 2. We both agreed that I was just like Mrs.Potatohead when she was packing Mr.Potatohead in the bloopers on the video. He was kind enough to listen to all my cake details and make us the wedding cake of our dreams. When it arrived we were so excited to see it. I rushed over to him and watched him assemble the whole thing. I will never forget that cake!
I also cannot say enough kind words about Melanie. BEST WEDDING COORDINATOR EVER! She was exactly what I needed that day. She was on time, followed through with everything, and gave us the wedding of our dreams!” – Yelena
