You may have heard, but our very own lovely editor Natalie Franke got engaged on Thanksgiving Day! I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am for Natalie and Huey. These two mean the world to me and I’m so excited for them to take this next step in their lives!
I was thrilled when Huey called me several weeks ago to ask if I could shoot his proposal to Natalie. Natalie’s grandfather actually came up with a fantastic idea to trick Natalie (she’s been a little suspicious for weeks). Her family has been setting up this story that they need to find old oars to decorate their beach house. On Thanksgiving day, Natalie’s mom told Natalie to stop by the boat house to look for a few, while the rest of the family waited in the car. The St. John’s Boat House is where Natalie and Huey first met when they rowed crew almost 6 years ago and it was the perfect location for the proposal!
Since a of few of us had secret knowledge of the proposal before it happened – We put together an exciting week of posts designed to celebrate Natalie’s engagement on Bayside Bride! We’ll also be sharing her entire wedding planning process once the newly engaged couple sets a date!
