This year has been one of the most exciting years of our lives! Between starting Bayside Bride in April, to doing our first styled photography shoots, chatting with brides around the state, and getting to know some of the best Annapolis Wedding Vendors – we’ve accomplished things in the past twelve months that we will never forget! We are so grateful to each and every one of you who has supported us, guided us, and helped us to get to the place that we are today!

In order to prepare for a New Year (with fabulous new posts, giveaways, & a few secret projects we have up our sleeves) – Bayside Bride will be taking the week off between Christmas and New Years! We will be out of the office from December 24th through January 1st while we spend time with our families and brainstorm new ideas for the coming year!
We wanted to leave the year by highlighting a few of our favorite posts from 2011 for your holiday browsing & enjoyment! These posts are listed in no particular order, just filled with inspiration, beauty, and all things Bayside Bride! Enjoy!
James & Maria’s Wedding: This absolutely beautiful wedding from Gabe Aceves melted our hearts & kept us swooning all year long. The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church in Annapolis and the reception was held at St. Johns College! Filled with so many amazing portraits and beautiful details – it’s inspiring in so many ways!

Wedding Favors We Love: This post was simply filled with beautiful ideas and featured some of our favorite gift ideas across the board! Whether a couple wanted to give back to charity or keep their event eco-friendly – we captured a variety of ideas to make that happen!

Adam Barnes St. Johns College Wedding: Oh, be still my heart! This wedding is definitely on our short list for all time favorites! It’s perfect in all the right places (details, location, amazing couple) and with soft fine art tones – we can’t help but fall in love!

Bouquet Trends We Love: No two bouquets are quite the same! Each floral creation comes with a delicate interplay of colors, textures, and materials – all seemingly flowing into a single bouquet for the bride to use as her ultimate wedding accessory! We wanted to highlight a few of our favorite bouquet trends to help inspire your bridal bouquet!

Lisa Boggs National Harbor Engagement: Briean & Casey’s engagement session is one of our favorite nautical combinations of love & pure eye candy! Filled with stunning sailboats, a super sweet couple, and candid smiles that are nearly infectious – this engagement is one of our favorites!
Nautical Styled Wedding Shoot: Our first styled shoot that we put together last spring featured nautical elements that still have us dreaming! It was perfectly Annapolitan, truly inspiring, and set the foundation for many of our future shoots and ideas! I guess you never forget your first love!

Flower Necklace DIY: Our very own Krista designed and created this adorable little fabric flower necklace that our gorgeous model Jill wore in the Autumn Styled shoot! It’s so easy to make that we promise you won’t be able to stop… Perfect gifts for bridesmaids to wear or even a fabulous last minute Christmas present – these necklaces are the bees knees!

Theresa Choi’s Southern Maryland Engagement – When we mention the words – cupcakes & vintage bikes – you should already know that this portrait session is a winner! Filled with a sunlit stroll on the beach, a picnic under a golden sky, and bike rides on gravel roads… we couldn’t dream of anything better than this!

Engagement Rings We Love – One of our most sparkling posts of 2011 was our roundup of some of the most beautiful engagement rings around! This photograph from Amanda McMahon Photography made our hearts jump with joy! You might need your sunglasses for this post – it truly glistens!

DIY Doily Table Runner – We created this table runner for our Vintage Garden Styled Shoot to show brides how easy it is to turn lace doilies laying around your home (or at the local thrift store) into something beautifully unique for your wedding! Combining small vintage elements to form something new and meaningful – made us love this concept even more!

Madmen Styled Engagement Session – This incredibly glamorous and ritzy engagement session truly rocked our worlds. We have never seen anything like it before & have been dreaming up 1960′s inspiration ever since!

Nate & Tiffany’s Wedding – Nate & Tiffany’s Annapolis Wedding, photographed by the talented Katelyn James Photography, still has our hearts jumping around in our chests! We first featured their engagement session a few weeks prior and then upon seeing their wedding images – couldn’t help ourselves! They are truly a Bayside couple!

Natalie & Huey’s Proposal – We thought it would be fitting to end with one of our very own posts about our Co-Editor Natalie Franke who is newly engaged to her sweetheart of six years, Hugh. This post was a big one for us and marked a turning point in Natalie’s life! Her engagement will play a big part in our 2012 agenda as we document various parts of her wedding planning process and we hope that everyone joins us on this journey! We can’t wait!
