Engagement rings represent love, commitment, and the promise of forever! Their significance to each and every couple is unique & we love what they represent for the beginning of an engagement and future marriage! In Part Two of today’s engagement ring post, today we’ll be featuring a few of the most beautiful engagement rings with a unique take on tradition! If you loved last week’s Favorite Engagement Rings, you’ll adore today’s post as well!
Whether they hold precious gemstones or a mine cut diamond – there is nothing that we don’t adore about brides that are breaking from the mold!
Bayside Bride Loves: Handmade Creations

This beautiful engagement ring is photographed by Caroline Fontenot Photography and created by Sundance Jewelry, who sells handcrafted jewelry from feature artists. The oval diamond in the wedding band was given to bride from aunt, and it belonged to her mother on a necklace. The bride and groom purchased bands from a jeweler in College Station, TX and had them put the diamond in the band. Since the wedding, they added a tiny diamond to the band at their first anniversary and will continue to add one for each year!
Bayside Bride Loves: Dainty Aquamarine

When we came across this absolutely spectacular engagement ring photographed by Heather Z Photography, we just knew that colored engagement rings deserved their own post! How spectacular is this beauty? A center stone surrounded by two halos of diamonds, and a matching wedding band!
Bayside Bride Loves: Pink Tourmaline

The absolutely beautiful pink tourmaline engagement ring was submitted by Bree of Capitol Romance and was photographed by the talented, Live It Out Photography. Bree described herself as, “really not a diamond gal” and decided to design her dream ring at I Gorman Jewelers in Washington DC! We absolutely ADORE this ring for so many reasons!
Bayside Bride Loves: An Edwardian Reminscence

This absolutely stunning vintage inspired engagement ring gave us butterflies! The photograph created by the talented Laura Gordon Photography captures the delicate embrace of diamonds and intricately detailed design. It’s truly an heirloom piece that will be shared within generations!
Bayside Bride Loves: One of a Kind Antiques

We love a little something blue, and how spectacular is this stunning blue engagement ring submitted by Lisa O’Dwyer Photography all the way from Ireland! The ring is intricate and truly a work of art – a one of a kind reminder of this couple’s love and commitment!
Bayside Bride Loves: Mix & Match Stackable Bands

These absolutely gorgeous rings were photographed by the talented Caroline Fontenot Photography! In the brides words: “My mom and aunt both have wedding rings that are wide bands with 3 rows of diamonds and I’ve always loved their rings. I thought I wanted one just like my mom’s but also wanted to have an actual engagement ring. We decided we could use the sapphire and diamond band as the engagement ring and then added the other two at the wedding ceremony.”
Bayside Bride Loves: Turquoise Detailing

Even most of the unique engagement rings contain precious gems – but we were absolutely awe-struck to see a precious stone like turquoise accompanying a beautiful center diamond! This absolutely spectacular engagement ring is photographed by Coty Jones Photography and is one of our favorites! We love the rich blue-green color of the side stones! Beautiful!
Bayside Bride Loves: A Spectacular Encirclement

Oh how our hearts skipped a beat upon seeing this photograph from Amanda McMahon Photography! This beautiful round brilliant diamond is encircled with two distinct surroundings of smaller diamonds creating one of the most unique diamond engagement rings that we’ve seen! Truly a one of a kind piece that this couple will cherish forever!
Bayside Bride Loves: Works of Art

When a ring can double as a true work of art, how could we not fall in love with it! This beautiful image by Borrowed Blue Photo shows the sweeping use of line and detail that set this ring apart! We really love how the wedding band was created to match and shape around the engagement ring – creating a beautiful set!
Bayside Bride Loves: Etsy Treasures

The fabulous Andrea over at Andrea Ream Photography sent over her beautiful engagement ring designed by Etsy Jewelry Designer Elizabeth Scott (Visit her Etsy Boutique). The ring is truly a unique work of art – beautiful and one of a kind!

Wow these rings are amazing. It’s so lovely to see different approaches to the diamond. That blue engagement ring is just divine! And I LOVE Bree’s!!!!!
I LOVE the all the variety featured here! I’ve always wondered about different stones for engagement rings but non-diamonds feel so taboo!
thank you SO much for including my engagement ring 9and to Wendy for the love!)… 2 years later and I still melt every time I look at it :). What a great round-up – it’s so refreshing to continually see other e-rings that bucked the tradition. I love the artistic/asymmetrical ones AND the last one might just rival my favorite!
What a great round up!! I am obsessed with that stunning blue vintage style one!

I think this is an awesome post, such unique rings!
I love learning about unique engagement rings very informative thank you
I think adding a coloured stone adds a nice bit of colour to otherwise generally plain diamond engagement ring.
