I know that I’m quite a lucky girl to have a fiance who loves wedding planning almost as much as I do! He’s been incredibly supportive and helpful when it comes to researching vendors, searching for ideas, and all of the initial odds and ends that go into our wedding plans!

But after listening to Krista and I talk about everything from flowers to bridesmaids dresses, the poor guy was truly in need of something that would sweeten his day! And that’s where our cupcake tasting at Kupcakes and Company comes in!

 We’ve decided that we wanted to go with cupcakes for a few reasons! Cupcakes are often cheaper per person than a traditional wedding cake especially because there is no cutting fee! We also absolutely love the thought that with cupcakes – our guests can choose whichever flavor dessert they want.

And with delicious flavors like Snickerdoodle and Key Lime, how is a bride to choose?

The tasting was so much fun! We tried a wide variety of delicious cupcakes, all hand piped and made in the Kupcakes and Company’s kitchen in Elkridge before selecting our final flavors! I don’t want to spoil too much for our guests so I won’t tell you which ones we selected – but I can promise you… They are absolutely heavenly!

We will still be doing a small cake to keep up with tradition! As a wedding photographer, one of my favorite moments of the reception is the cake cutting – and I’m still looking forward to maybe (just maybe) pushing a little bit of cake into Huey’s face! (It’s a party afterall, right?!) So we are also on the hunt for the perfect cake topper! Another job for another day!
