After getting engaged in November, I’ve been planning up a cute and simple way to ask the two most important girls in my life to be my maid and matron of honor! Simply asking, “will you be my maid of honor?” seemed too easy for two girls who have literally shaped every aspect of my daily life!
So going off of my love for all things nautical, I designed a very simple DIY way to ask my sister, Caroline, and my Bayside Bride Co-Founder, Krista, to be my maid and matron of honor! And it all started with a beautiful keepsake hankie that I placed in a hand crafted nautical box!
I then packaged the keepsake hankies into cute pink boxes that I decorated with nautical ribbon and shells! On each of the boxes I wrote, “I’d love to have you on board” – my own nautical take on a simple phrase!
And now that I’ve asked my two leading ladies to take part in my wedding, I have five other fabulous bridesmaids to ask to be a part of my wedding day! I am so excited that I can’t even begin to explain it! Thinking up a cute way to ask the rest of the girls will be one of my leading projects over the next few months and of course – I’ll be sharing that on Bayside Bride as well!

If that’s just not the sweetest thing!
I’m so honored to be your maid of honor and not only did the way you ask show your creative and fun side, but it also showed how much you care about others in your life! Can’t wait to set sail on this epic voyage with you! [see what I did there
