Nothing says Summer Weddings like a beautiful beach at sunset and spectacular citrus inspired centerpieces! The talented duo at Jen + Ashley Photography captured so many incredible moments and details at Meredith and Mike’s Wedding that we couldn’t wait to share all of these images with you!
Hold onto your seats, folks! This wedding is filled to the brim with incredible inspiration!
Words from the Photographer: Meredith + Mike met at JMU, where Mike was a member of the a capella group Exit 245 (a nod to the exit number off the interstate to get to JMU), and they really wanted their wedding to be a fun celebration with family and friends. A fun choreographed first dance, a surprise serenade from Mike to his new bride, and a surprise exit including a boat, and I’d say they definitely succeeded! Meredith created her programs herself, which doubled as fans during the ceremony, which was a welcome respite from the 100 degree day! The ceremony location overlooks the bay, and as boats were coming in and out, there were calls of celebration and congratulations during the ceremony, which had everyone laughing and tied in their fun and relaxed vibe. Meredith gave personalized clutches to each of her bridesmaids to thank them for being by her side, and gave Mike a custom engraved watch as her gift. Their color palette of purples and yellows was a small nod to their alma mater, and the peacock accents gave the whole affair a really gorgeous touch of elegance.
